When the silent movie Battleship Potemkin premiered in 1925, a new era began. Eisenstein had realized his own idea of film and created a work that clearly stood out in terms of camera work and film editing. The work is considered a milestone in film history. Matthias Hettmer composed new music for the film in 2017, with electric bass, live electronics and cd recordings.
